Mohave College Board Names Dr. Christin Holliday as Next President

March 30, 2026

After a national search, the Mohave College Board of Governors has selected Christin Holliday, Ph.D., to lead the College as its next president.

Dr. Holliday currently serves as Vice President for Enrollment Management and Student Success at Cal Poly Humboldt, where she oversees areas focused on student access, enrollment, retention and success.  Prior to that role, she served in leadership positions at Colorado State University Pueblo, including senior system liaison for rural education and workforce initiatives and vice president of enrollment management, communication and student affairs.

She brings more than two decades of higher education experience including leadership responsibility for admissions, financial aid, the registrar’s office, student support programs, health and wellbeing services, university marketing, and housing and residence life.

Mohave College Board Chair Dr. Julie Bare said Dr. Holliday stood out as a student-centered, collaborative leader with the experience to help guide the College into its next chapter.

Dr. Holliday brings a strong background in student success, enrollment growth, strategic leadership and community connection,” Bare said. “The Board was impressed by her thoughtful approach, her understanding of the mission, and her commitment to access, affordability and opportunity. We are excited to welcome her to Mohave College and the communities we serve.”

During the public forum process, Dr. Holliday spoke about her passion and experience with both two-year and four-year colleges, as well as her experience as a first-generation college student.  She also spoke about her belief that a student’s ZIP code should not determine access to higher education.  She emphasized the importance of innovative pathways, workforce relevance, affordability and centering student success in ways that reflect each student’s goals.

“I am deeply honored to have been selected as the next president of Mohave College,” Dr. Holliday said. “Mohave connects students with opportunity, strengthens communities and opens doors that can shape generations.  As a first-generation college student, that is deeply personal to me.  I look forward to listening, learning and working alongside students, employees, board members and community partners to build on the College’s strong foundation and continue expanding access, innovation and student success.”

Dr. Holliday succeeds Dr. Stacy Klippenstein, who led Mohave College through a period of major growth and transformation before being selected in 2025 as president of the College of Southern Nevada.

Following Klippenstein’s departure, Dr. Tim Culver stepped in as interim president to help guide the College through the leadership transition. Dr. Culver had previously planned to retire from Mohave College in 2027.

“It’s an honor to serve Mohave College during this transition,” Dr. Culver said. “From the beginning, my goal was to help provide stability and support as the College prepares for its next permanent president. I remain fully committed to helping Dr. Holliday and Mohave College have a strong and successful transition.”

Dr. Holliday will assume leadership of Mohave College in July, and takes over at a time of continued momentum. The College has advanced major institutional priorities in recent years, including workforce development, expanded academic opportunities, and its continued evolution as Mohave College. She will be the seventh President of Mohave College.

Her background connected to enrollment management, rural education, workforce initiatives and student success, are all areas closely tied to the College’s current direction.
