Sunil Chand, Ph.D.


Dr. Sunil Chand began his career as a faculty member and department head of English at St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University, India. Moving to the United States, he earned his Ph.D.  in Literature at Kent State University, writing on Shakespeare. He began his career in community colleges working as a tutor at Triton College in River Grove, Illinois. He left as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences

Dr. Chand spent the next three years in the United Kingdom, as Vice President, Academic Affairs, at Richmond, the American University in London.

He returned to the United States as Executive Vice President, Academic and Student Affairs, at Cuyahoga Community College in Cleveland Ohio.  Thereafter, he was appointed President, College of DuPage, in Illinois.  Dr Chand recently retired after 8 years as Professor and Director  of  the Ed.D. program in Higher Education and Organizational Change at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois

Dr. Chand has served on and contributed to commissions, task forces and committees of local, state and national organizations.
